Since the birth of my daughter 2 years ago I've been up and down with my weight. I've been on atkins, nutrisystem, the cookie diet, no eating, brazilian pills, etc,.. The new year rolls around and I know I have to do something because I hate the way I look. Well my dear friend Melody continues to talk about her husband's weight loss and how he's lost all this weight and that he looks amazing and he's obessesed with this diet. So I decide I'm going to give it a try. It seemed easy enough I hate to cook all these meals and eat chicken and veggies all day. So I buy the book and I start immediately, although I was hungry during the day it was just a matter of getting used to and the fact that I can eat a huge meal at night is really rewarding. So here I am three weeks into it and I feel awesome! I've lost 12 pounds (oh by the way, I cheated 3 times with pizza, a hot dog, popcorn and raisinets) and I'm not working out yet either and still lost 12 pounds. I have so much energy during the day. I'm more focused at work, I feel very healthy this is about as healthy as it gets. The best part of it is the simplicity of it and the fact that I can eat at night (rice & beans) which I love. This is something that I've quickly become addicted too. I'm not constantly thinking of foods I wish I could have or have crazy cravings. Every two weeks I give my self two cheat days, but will only cheat at night and I'm good and I haven't ruined what I've accomplished. The more time passes the more into it I get. Anyway, with all that said the diet is called "The Warrior Diet" by Ori Hofmekler his website is: www.defensenutrition.com. It's totally changed my life for the better. This is the one diet that can totally change my lifestyle for life. No, I'm not getting paid to say this stuff, I seriously feel this way and so do most people that are on it, check out his forum. Anyway, I will give an update on where I am with this at the end of the month hopefully another 15 pounds (but that might be pushing it) we'll see!!

I was just sitting in bed watching Celine's Dion "A New Day" concert, and I just got teary eyed I don't think anyone could understand why except my Sister and husband. We saw this concert in Las Vegas the day after our wedding, it was a gift from a good friend of my Husband. We took both our sister's and it just made the whole trip complete and now when I hear her music, my wedding is the only thing that comes to mind. I got married in Las Vegas in April 2003 we had about 50 guests attend. Our ceremony was at Ceasars Palace, Celine Dion's home at the time. All I know is besides my daughters birth it was the most memorable, cherished and unforgettable time of my life. I actually had the time of my life. Growing up we never really traveled much and being able to spend 5 days with my family and friends in my favorite city was truly the best wedding I could have envisioned. The flower, food or details were not important to me only looking fabulous and have my favorite and most important people there. I LOVE Vegas and I guess my husband has spoiled me rotten especially since I lost track of how many times we've been there I would have to say more than 25 times (I thinks). I don't know but when I get there I feel alive I don't want to sleep I just want to keep going, it's truly beautiful the hotels, restaurants, the desert and mountains, the shows and entertainment and I cannot forget the gambling.
I haven't been there but for 2 years and I miss it dearly but I won't go back without having enough money, it's just not the same. I am planning a huge 40th birthday for myself and it's going to be in Vegas but that's still 27 months away but I can't wait.
I think it makes me sad to think of this time because it's when life was simple there was not mortgage or children or bills. Even though life is a little more serious today filled with issues we wish would disappear, I am still greatful for the health of my family and the love of my husband which is always more important than anything. My new years resolution besides getting into the best shape of my life is to make life simple and fun again, I want that more than anything!

Lorena & Mickey are such a cute couple & nice couple, they were very polite and open to anything. We definitely had lots of fun taking these pictures they were so natural and easy to work with, it was an absolute pleasure taking their pictures, I can't wait to photograph their wedding.

Since the last episode of "Sex in the City" aired on HBO, I looked forward to the movie and I knew it would be great. But the word "great" doesn't quite do it justice more like "Fantastic." I went with my sister and some friends and it was cool to see all these other girls all dressed up and excited, it just proves that all women can relate with the "sex in the city" phenomenom and it's truly a shame that it had to end. The movie definitely exceeded my expectations, I laughed and cried I was upset and sentimental. It was awesome!!!!!!!! I didn't want it to end. It's crazy but I felt like I knew these girls like we were friends and I hadn't seen them in a long time and I was catching up with their lives. I watched this show when it first aired and was not popular and I was hooked ever since. Well this movie is a must see I can definitely watch it again I give it 2 thumbs up or 5 stars whatever, it's the best romantic comedy ever made!
It wasn't anything special just a regular birthday, but since my daughter was born I hadn't been out for drinks with my friends and I had the perfect excuse to do it and make people show up. Well I made a reservation for 25 people at Martini Bar, it was a great happy hour place with music. Well to make a long story short there was a Male Revue show that evening that I was not told about and it was awesome (at least for the girls it was). Luckily most of my friends husbands have an open mind and were laughing about it. However, after seeing what those guys do to the girls on stage, I don't think any of us will be allowed to go to a strip club again. Anyway, I had a great time, I was really happy to see my friends and family and have drinks, socialize and dance. It was definitely what I needed and what everyone else needed also and we have to do it again soon.
I signed up to attend a seminar in Orlando, FL on Yervant & Buissink - two of the worlds top wedding photographers. Since the seminar was only one day, I decided to make it a family vacation I brought my husband and daughter. We went to Sea World which I love and I think Olivia had a good time, I think the highlight of the day is when we went into the baby center and elmo was on TV, she was all smiles. She kept crying everytime this rollercoaster came out of the tunnel and made a splash, we're not sure what that was about we just tried staying away from it, I think she might have been scared. Disney is always fun Olivia looked at Mickey & Minnie Mouse with a strange, confused look on her face. We got to ride a few rides with her but I think she might have been bored, I think she's seeking a bigger thrill. Anyway the trip was relaxing and we were just glad to be able to spend some time together. To view more photo's click here.
